Compton, California (October 18, 2017) – The 2017 Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series season comes to a close with the most exciting weekend of the year as Greg Adler joins off-road racing's elite drivers for the 4 Wheel Parts Off-Road Nationals and the Lucas Oil Challenge Cup in Chandler, Arizona. The October 21-22 doubleheader at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park on the outskirts of Phoenix will first crown individual class title winners on Saturday with the final regular points race of year and then Adler and Team 4 Wheel Parts shift gears as they prepare for Sunday's Challenge Cup event. For Adler, President and CEO of 4 Wheel Parts and an Arizona State alumnus, the 4 Wheel Parts Off Road Nationals represents a long-time association with the marquee event for the off-road retailer as well as an opportunity for Adler to compete in front of many friends and associates from the local area.

"Lucas has been a fantastic partner of ours and it's an honor for us to share in presenting what is certain to be an incredible weekend of racing," said Adler. "I always enjoy heading back to Arizona and having a chance to spend some time with many great friends. We also have a large group of employees and their families from our local Arizona retail stores who come out to enjoy the racing so it's going to be a great couple of days out at the track."

Once the dust settles on Saturday's final round of action, Adler, along with Crew Chief, Mike Seat, Car Chief, Dylan Cochran and the entire veteran 4 Wheel Parts crew will prepare for the wildly unpredictable Challenge Cup. The unique format of Sunday's race places the entirety of the Pro4 (4 wheel drive 900-HP) and Pro2 (2 wheel drive 900-HP) divisions, which usually race individually, on the track together for a winner takes all melee.

While the Pro4 trucks enjoy an advantage with the forward momentum that comes from the additional drive wheels, their two-wheel drive brethren are provided a significant distance advantage to start the race. The volatile mix of more than 30 vehicles on the track representing thousands of horsepower piloted by the world's best off-road competitors will bring spectators to their feet with non-stop action throughout the mile-long course.

"You never know what to expect in the Challenge Cup," said Adler. "You try to have a plan and stick with it and with so much going on in front and behind you, you just have to keep the adrenaline in check and stay focused on getting through the field. There's a lot of contact and you're running door to door with someone the entire race so it becomes a war of attrition. The important thing is to stay patient, work your way through the field and be among the contenders fighting for the podium late in the race."

If you won't be in Chandler, Arizona this weekend to catch the action live, the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series is broadcasted on CBS, CBS Sports Network, MavTV and LucasOilRacing.TV.
