2014: Stout Wins in Pro-Buggy

Brownsburg, Indiana (April 11, 2018) – Robert Stout will make his national-level debut in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series April 14th as the series kicks off its 2018 season at Wild Horse Pass in Chandler, Ariz. He will compete in the 12-race UTV Production 1000 class behind the wheel of the No. 915 Tommy Thompson Motorsports Yamaha.

Stout's aim will be to secure the Rookie-of-the-Year award as he chases the class championship. In 2014, he competed in short-course off-road racing before winning his first ever race in the Pro-Buggy division in an Arizona regional event.

"A lot of things came together here at the last minute to create this opportunity," said Stout. "First I have to thank Tommy Thompson Motorsports for their support! Tommy is really the guy that opened the door and made this possible! We'll fly his Magic Dry Absorbent colors proudly this season and do our best to get him some good TV time! We have a great car prepared by Weller Racing, but I will have a steep learning curve to get up to speed with the players on the tour. It's the fastest growing class in the series so the field will be large, and the racing will be tough, just the way we like it!"

While his off-road experience is limited, his racing experience is vast. Stout is a two-time National Champion and driver of the year in sports cars. He's also driven for IndyCar star Davey Hamilton behind the wheel of an 850 HP Winged Sprint Car as well as winning at the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway in an Indy Lights car.

The entire Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series including the UTV Production 1000 class along with its other Pro-Divisions including Pro-Buggy, Pro-Light, Pro-2 and Pro-4 will air on the CBS Sports Network and MAVTV. Races can also be viewed via live streaming during each event at
